Background
Originally from Texas and a recent graduate of Baylor University, Jordan moved to New York to join the DCI time in August 2007, bringing with her a degree in public relations concentrating on both media relations and marketing communications. A previous DCI intern, Jordan also gained prior experience in local marketing agencies as well as with public relations giant, Fleishman Hilliard.
Jordan's Passion for Places
For the most part of her life, Jordan never believed she would ever leave the great state of Texas. That is, until educational opportunities brought her to Europe, allowing her to explore the other half of the world throughout France and Italy. Her excitement for international travel stole her away, yet again, in the summer of 2005 where she spent 4 months in living in Madrid with a local family and learning the Spanish language. So where is she now? Living in New York City. So much for staying in Texas! |

Notable Results
• After discovering an Investor’s Business Daily column, “New America,” Jordan began pitching companies in her clients’ regions that were demonstrating strong financial performance. Two weeks later, Jordan placed a story in IBD on a Charleston, SC-based company to again place a story for Kalamazoo, Mich. the very next day – two back-to-back stories in the same publication on behalf of DCI clients..
• In preparation for a media tour on behalf of Southwest Michigan First, Jordan arranged two key meetings with SmartMoney magazine and American Banker for a small financial start-up. After the media tour was cancelled, Jordan maintained contact with the American Banker, setting up interviews and leading to a front page feature story on the company.
• With Reno, NV-based clean energy companies visiting the Northern California region, Jordan was able to schedule in-person interviews with desirable California media, including the Sacramento Associated Press and San Jose Mercury News. Both successful meetings have built relationships for potential larger stories in the future. | |
