Background
With more than two dozen years of experience in public relations and marketing, Dariel has worked for Development Counsellors International since 1995. She holds a degree in English and American Literature from Brown University and attended the Radcliffe Publishing Procedures Course at Harvard University (thinking she wanted to be a magazine editor). She is one of DCI's few employees who work on both economic development and tourism accounts.
Dariel's Passion for Places
Growing up in the rural Finger Lakes region of upstate New York and then moving to Manhattan for more than a decade after college, Dariel is someone who enjoys quiet country places as much as the hippest urban spots on the planet. She spent summers on Martha's Vineyard during college and then developed the travel bug, back-backing across Europe and taking vacations in Greece, Spain, Belize, the Caribbean and too many American destinations to count. Dariel loves learning about new places and "thinking like a journalist" to uncover fresh and surprising stories to tell. |
