AT WORK AT PLAY

Background

Katrina joined DCI in 2008 after working in sales for a pharmaceutical publication in the financial district of Manhattan. She is a graduate of The College of St. Rose in Albany, New York, with a degree in Spanish and Business Administration. Katrina developed a passion for economic development and international business while working as an intern at Empire State Development.

Katrina's Passion for Places

Katrina hails from Eden, Vermont, a mountain town with a population of little more than 900 people. Her true passion for places and cultures stems from a high school trip she took to Costa Rica. She came away forever changed, with a newfound appreciation for travel and different cultures. She has since pursued this wanderlust, and it has taken her to such countries as Ireland, Amsterdam, Morocco, Portugal, Mexico and Argentina, among others. While pursuing her degree in Spanish, she participated in a study abroad program in Seville, Spain, that left her with many indelible memories, as well as a lifelong appreciation for the Spanish culture and people. Just ask her to dance the Flamenco!

Since graduating college, Katrina has truly left her rural roots behind and has moved to Brooklyn to purpose her career in Manhattan. Although she has traded the spacious confines and scenic landscapes of Vermont for the tall skyscrapers and noise of New York, which has taken some getting used to, Katrina has grown very fond of NYC. She truly appreciates all of the cultural diversity, sense of community, plethora of world class-restaurants, and obsessive sports fans that New York has to offer.
