Background
As a sales-savvy marketing graduate from Western Michigan University, Nathaniel began his career working for a Michigan marketing agency focused on servicing the national golf and lifestyle industries. In order to further his professional career, he decided to take on the Big Apple and began looking for work in New York City.
In January 2005, after an intense search, Nathaniel found a new home at Development Counsellors International as an account executive within the Prospect Development/Qualification (PDQ) division. This allowed Nathaniel the opportunity to utilize his sales skills in a business development capacity servicing various city, state and international economic development organizations. In 2006, Nathaniel was promoted to director of the PDQ division at DCI.
Nathaniel's Passion for Places
Nathaniel’s interest in experiencing new places and cultures began at an early age through annual trips to a fishing cabin in Ontario, Canada. After multiple visits to Mexico, he has gained a great appreciation of Latin American culture and eventually would like to live in a bilingual community, such as Texas or South Florida.
Nathaniel’s true passion for places, however, actually began during a 2004 trip to Europe that covered multiple cities in the United Kingdom, France and the Netherlands. Subsequent visits to the U.K., Germany, Switzerland and the Czech Republic have satisfied his travel hunger, but Nathaniel is always planning the next trip to a new destination, where he can find new experiences, learn about the culture and meet interesting people.

• Nathaniel has managed programs and relationships with all PDQ division clients, including International Business Wales, INTERES – Invest in Spain, Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, Mississippi Power, Greater Houston Partnership, Cincinnati USA, Greater Rochester Enterprise, Irvine Chamber of Commerce, Metro Denver and the EDC of Lancaster.
• He has arranged more than 125 face-to-face meetings for client representatives with senior corporate executives across a broad range of industries.
• Nathaniel facilitated relationships between client organizations and high-profile corporations such as Merck & Company, Pfizer, Citigroup, JPMorgan, AIG, Church & Dwight, Motorola, PepsiCo, and Honeywell. |
