Background

It was during a marketing and entrepreneurship course in college where Shari heard the phrase, “public relations is the best thing you can do for a company.” While a simple statement, it provided the fuel Shari needed to kick start her career.

With a professional background in food & beverage, hospitality, consumer goods and technology PR, Shari’s expertise stretches across many industries and has given her the ability to adapt in different mental and physical capacities.

And with the client’s needs always in mind, Shari efficiently secures significant media placements directly influencing her client’s bottom line.

Shari's Passion for Places

Since the age of 5, Shari has been a world traveler. South America, Mexico, France, England and Jamaica are just a few places that she enjoys visiting.

And according to Shari, “What’s special about traveling is that you gain a greater perspective of life beyond your own doorstep. The food and fashion of these countries and cities is what you take away in your suitcase, but it’s the stories and dialogues that last a lifetime.”

Notable Results

• Shari was influential in highlighting CREOLE Restaurant and Music Supper Club as a leader in social change and community development in East Harlem, fostering a two page spread in New York’s top Spanish publication, El Diario La Prensa.

• Garnering features on top chef Shirley Nimako at Bloomingdale’s and Macy’s in New York City, Shari’s efforts resulted in mentions in the New York Times and New York Daily News food sections.

• Paired with advertising on WBLS, one of New York’s top R&B radio stations, and significant press outreach, Shari was instrumental in selling out concerts featuring legendary singing group, The Persuaders and world renowned poet, Amiri Baraka.
